EyeControl
Product Description:
EyeControl is a wearable personal communication device that gives a voice to locked-in patients by using audio feedback and eye gestures. It is a standalone portable device without the need for a screen.
Main Features:
-
How it works:
- A head-mounted infrared camera tracks the eye movements and sends the information to a small processing unit which translates the movements into communication.
- The bone conduction component provides audio feedback to the user before the communication is transmitted to the output speaker or connected Bluetooth device.
- No calibration is necessary; only the headset needs to be in place to begin communications.
- It can be worn 24/7 without interfering with other devices; it can be slept in.
- The average user training is 20 minutes.
- Communicate everywhere, even in a car.
- The device does not obstruct the view so eye contact can be maintained while communicating.
-
Personalization of Communication:
- Audio gender and language can be selected for the audio menu and the external voice.
- The user can use predefined sentences or teach the EyeControl personalized syntax.
- Only the user can hear the menu options before sending their communication to the output speaker.
- May be used in conjunction with standard eyeglasses, but reflections on the glass may interfere with eye-tracking. Standard contact lenses may be worn. Colored or decorative lenses that change the appearance of the pupil or iris should be avoided as they may make eye tracking impossible.
- The EyeControl device may be paired with a PC or tablet after downloading the relevant EyeControl application if the user wishes to use it that way.
- Avoid using EyeControl in direct sunlight as it may interfere with the effectiveness of eye-tracking technology.
Primary Specifications:
- English and Hebrew options exist as languages to control the device, and for the output speaker.
