Product Description: 

HouseMate is an environmental control system that enables people with physical disabilities and mobility impairments to access their smart phone and control their home or work environments. HouseMate is a wireless "smart home" interface with built-in switch control, as well as the ability to connect up to five external switches or to a wheelchair joystick. The system is run by a companion smartphone app, through which users can control power sockets, lights, door openers, televisions and other appliances.

Main Features: 

  • Switch control: Connect up to five external switch controls. HouseMate is compatible with any available model of switch control, including Buddy buttons, sip & puff controls, and proximity switches.
  • Joystick control, depending on the brand of electronics in your chair.
  • Other access methods: As well as using your phone’s touch screen the Apps can be controlled with other input devices such as AbleNet’s Blue2, the Housemate Point-It! joysticks, and eye-tracking devices. In this case HouseMate acts as a hub for controlling the devices in your home. 
  • Companion smartphone app: HouseMate is compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Pressing your switch starts the scanning on the screen. Launch the HouseMate app to begin environmental control.
  • ClickToPhone: HouseMate works in conjunction with the ClickToPhone app, giving switch and joystick users full access to Android devices.
  • Control your house: The app uses symbols to represent the appliances in your house. When you choose a symbol the control box transmits the corresponding InfraRed or Radio signal. 
  • The Control Box: Includes the IR blaster, Smart-home hub and Radio alarm.
  • Learnable Remote Control: HouseMate’s powerful transmitter beams in every direction and it’s a breeze to record signals from other TV controls and remotes. If you don’t have a remote to hand you can even download signals from your smart-phone.
  • SmartHome controller: Z-Wave and EasyWave are wireless technologies used extensively in house automation. Sockets, lights, door openers and other appliances can be controlled directly from HouseMate’s internal transmitter. 
  • Radio alarm: HouseMate can be fitted with a radio alarm that can be activated at any time regardless of whether your smart-phone is switched on or not. This signal can trigger a pager or a bell.
