Product Description: 

iPortal 2 Apps provide touch-free control over mobile iOS devices and mouse emulation for PCs, Macs and any tablets which support Bluetooth mice using the wheelchair joystick or switch or head array control. A wheelchair that uses Dynamic Control's Shark, DX or DX2 wheelchair control system can also be fitted with the iPortal module that allows the wheelchair user to control iOS devices via Bluetooth.

Dashboard

A free app downloaded onto an iPod, iPhone or iPad that connects to the iPortal module to display drive, battery charge level, seating, and other status information in real-time.

Accessibility

A purchase upgrade of the Dashboard app that gives the user touch-free control over an iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad, using the wheelchair joystick or a switch or head array control.

Mouse Mover

A purchase upgrade of the Dashboard app that gives Bluetooth Mouse control over PCs, Macs and any tablets which support Bluetooth mice.

Main Features: 

These features are common to all versions:

  • Connects with Dynamic Control's Shark, DX or DX2 wheelchair control systems without reprogramming the wheelchair.
  • Includes:
    • an adjustable mounting arm and cradle that attaches to the wheelchair and conveniently positions the iOS device for the user.
    • an Apple USB charging port to keep the iOS device fully charged.
    • an auxiliary USB port (charging-only), for other devices.
    • wheelchair fault logging.
    • Technology to connect with the wheelchair system, the following is provided:
      • speed and speed range indicator.
      • compass heading (iPhone 3GS or later).
      • seat adjustment indicator.
      • battery state.
      • drive profile indicator.
    • emergency call function (iPhone only).

iPortal Accessibility includes these additional features:

  • Make phone calls, surf the net, type text and join the online world with iPortal Accessibility.
  • Enables joystick or switch or head array control of iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.
  • Compatible with Dynamic Controls electronic control systems DX, DX2 and Shark (Shark on iPortal2 module only).

iPortal Mouse Mover features (iPortal2 module only):

  • Control the mouse pointer of a PC, Mac or tablet device using the wheelchair control system.
  • Enables joystick or switch or head array control.
  • Compatible with Dynamic Controls electronic control systems DX, DX2, and Shark.

Primary Specifications: 

  • Operates with Apple iPhone 3GS or later, iPod Touch 3 or later, and any iPad.
  • Compatibility: Requires iOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.iPhone and iPod touch are not included in the packages. The cables (DK BUS, DX BUS, and Y-cable (for Shark)), mounting arm and cradle must be ordered separately.
  • The cradles included support both the iPhone 3 & 4 variants and the iPod touch 3. For mounting solutions of other Apple iOS devices and models, consult a Dynamic Controls office or mobility dealer.
