Lazarillo is a smartphone application providing an accessible GPS to help blind or low-vision individuals explore nearby places and street intersections. Lazarillo also provides information about establishments that work with blind or visually impaired people. The app is linked to a web platform where institutions can identify information about events, courses, workshops, and any other useful data.

Main Features: 

  • Provides guidance through voice notifications/warnings about the current location of a user and nearby services.
  • “Search” tab for specific places.
  • “Save” function for places that will then be immediately available, even without the Internet and even accessible from another device.
  • It allows the user to choose the means of transportation.
  • APP is linked to UBER.
  • An alarm will announce when the saved place is reached, even if the scan mode is paused.
  • It allows the user to modify the voice.
