VASTtx – Key Words is a speech and oral motor skills training program designed for use by people with speech or communication disabilities, autism or apraxia and by occupational and speech therapists working with people with these disabilities. It uses VAST videos to support best-practices in delivering speech therapy for acquired Apraxia and non-fluent Aphasia.

Main Features: 

  • The app is designed for users to learn and practice the basic motor speech patterns necessary to produce all of the consonant phonemes.
  • The user can see close-up VAST videos of a model's mouth movements while listening to the auditory stimulus.
  • The user can also see the movement while hearing the sound by itself, then in a keyword and finally in a phrase.
