Product Description: 

Lectura de llibres per a invidents is a text file reading system controlled by the keyboard and its interface, as the program responds to users through spoken messages. It is suitable for blind and visually impaired users.

Main Features: 

  • The program, by voice, indicates the different options and how to perform them. It is done using the keyboard.
  • At first, users must choose the file using the cursor keys, RETURN, to load it.
  • Users can also read the contents of the clipboard.
  • When the program is abandoned in the middle of reading a book, the next time it is loaded it will start reading where it was left last.
  • When you change the language, not only does the book's reading language change, so does the program's control language.
  • C key, to continue reading.
  • A key, to read the previous paragraph.
  • M key, to start over.
  • O key, to open a new file.
  • S key, to leave the program.
  • V key, to increase the reading speed.
  • D key, to decrease the reading speed.
  • T key, to read the contents of the clipboard.

Primary Specifications: 

  • In order for it to work, the UPCTV (Polytechnic University of Catalonia Text-to-Speech University) voice synth is available on the Sinera 99 CD (also on the Sinera 2000 CD) distributed by the PIE.
  • Files must be in a TEXT file and the extension must be TXT.
