Product Description: 

Axelia is a software that aims to construct syntactically and orthographically correct French texts from pictograms (drawing, photos, or cartoons). Axelia's image bank currently contains thousands of pictograms on various subjects and continues to increase regularly. It was designed for people who do not have access to language (autism, aphasia, deafness, impaired development of oral or written language) to allow them to develop quality functional communication.

Main Features: 

  • From the words associated with the pictograms, and possibly grammatical operators (negation, verb tenses, etc.), Axelia will “grammaticalize” so as to obtain a sentence respecting French grammar.
  • Texts can be produced by sound (“vocalized”), printed, and transmitted in the form of an electronic message (“e-mail”).
  • Axelia also has various functions that simplify the use of the computer for people who have difficulty moving from one window to another: viewing photos, listening to music or multimedia files, accessing websites, performing software. All these different accesses can be configured by a user or caregiver.
  • Embedded on a tablet, Axelia gives the user more autonomy.
  • Speech-language pathologists will find:
    • A bank of varied and quality images that can be used in communication notebooks, signage, etc.
    • A powerful tool for rehabilitation, easily configurable depending on the case.
