FlickType Keyboard is an app for iOS devices that uses the QWERTY layout, tap typing, and gestures. FlickType is designed to be as accessible as possible, featuring large keys, highly readable visual announcements, high-contrast color themes, and a read-out, enabling a completely eyes-free writing experience. 

Main Features: 

  • How it works:
    • Flick left to delete. Flick the right to space. A second space will insert a period.
    • To change the current word or period, flick up or down. The punctuation list includes emoji.
    • To read what has typed, touch and hold the screen with two fingers.
  • Emoji, text shortcuts and deep customization options make typing fluid.
  • Control the cursor directly from the keyboard.
  • When typing, don't slow down and try to be accurate. Simply tap-type where it feels right and FlickType's unique algorithm will find the correct word from the pattern of taps.
  • install FlickType as a custom keyboard that can be used directly inside all other apps. This makes it faster and much more convenient to use, without ever needing to switch apps. For more details, check out the Upgrade tab inside the app.
  • On devices with 3D Touch, momentarily pressing harder on the screen while exploring the keyboard will toggle shift.
  • Low-vision users: the middle row of the keyboard, also known as the home row, is represented by a white horizontal bar.
  • Low-vision and hearing-impaired users: whatever VoiceOver speaks is now also displayed in very large, high-contrast text right above the keyboard. The screen curtain gesture shows or hides the visual announcements.
