Read text aloud

Some students are not able to process text visually but have good language skills for conversation.  Such students may benefit from having individual words or the entire text read aloud.

• Printed text must first be recognized and converted to digital text before it can be spoken.  This may happen inside a small device, or through a document camera or scanner.
• Text that is in electronic format, whether a webpage, eBook, or email can generally be read aloud by add-on software.
