Adaptive Features
Specialized mice have features that the designers feel promote function. When a person has difficulty using a conventional mouse, these adaptive mice may be more usable. The differences include:
- Mice that can be adjusted for responsiveness or mass to provide more detailed control
- Wired and wireless varieties (often of the same body design)
- Mice that are contoured to minimize grip strength or stress requirements, or support alternative grasp patterns
- Mice that are of different sizes to accommodate the user's hand size
