Clicking

"Clicking" on an information device commonly means briefly pressing and releasing some kind of switch, often one associated with the mouse.  This process can be changed in a number of ways.

  • Alternative switches that better meet the needs of the user can be provided.
  • There must be a way for these switches to connect to the device.  These "ways" are referred to as switch interfaces.
  • Various methods can be employed to assist the user in clicking, including ways that do not require pressing a switch at all!
